This page explains what happens to information when you use this site, which DeltaSpark operates.

Diagram of data flow: your browser makes a page request to the hosting provider, which keeps technical logs; site search runs in your browser and queries are not sent to us; your email goes to the editorial inbox and is used to respond. Cookie-free anonymous visit statistics, no advertising cookies, no forms or accounts.
How information moves when you read the site, search it, or email us.

What the site does not have

The site has no user accounts, no comment or contact forms, and no advertising. At the time of writing, it does not use advertising cookies. It uses self-hosted Umami for cookie-free, anonymous visit statistics, such as which pages are viewed.

There is nothing to sign up for and no account to create. You can read every page without giving any personal information. Images and scripts are loaded from this site itself, and the pages do not embed third-party content such as social widgets, videos, or advertising.

Site search runs in your browser using a static index. Your search queries are not sent to us.

Hosting data

Like any website, this one is delivered by infrastructure that handles each request. Hosting and DNS providers may process technical data, such as your IP address, your browser’s user agent, the time of the request, and the page requested. This is done to deliver the site and keep it secure. Those providers handle the data under their own policies, and we do not control how long they keep it.

Why the site is built this way

A site with no accounts, forms, or comments has little to collect. Pages are static files, search works from an index that your browser downloads, and nothing you type into the search box leaves your device. That keeps the information that passes through the site down to the technical requests needed to deliver pages and the emails you choose to send.

What we can and cannot see

We can read email that you send to the editorial address. We run self-hosted Umami for cookie-free, anonymous page-view statistics. It does not set cookies or identify individual visitors, and search queries are not sent to us. Hosting and DNS providers may have logs of their own, and what they show us, if anything, depends on their services. If this changes, we will update this page before or when the change takes effect.

Cookies

At the time of writing, the site does not set analytics or advertising cookies; the Umami statistics work without cookies. Because there are no accounts, there is no login state to remember either. Your browser may still store ordinary technical data, such as cached files, which is how browsers normally work.

If you email us

If you email editorial@naturallyiowa.com, we use your email address and message only to respond and to handle corrections or other requests. We keep them as long as needed for that purpose. Email is not a private channel in the way a secure form can be, so please avoid sending sensitive information. A correction request concerns public statements and rarely needs more than an article URL, a quotation, and a source.

Articles link to other websites, mainly the sources they cite. When you follow such a link you leave this site, and the other site decides what it collects. Each has its own privacy policy, and we do not control them. We cannot say what they do with your data.

What an email address is used for

An email you send is used to read your message, respond to it, and, for a correction request, to check it against sources and to follow up if we need more detail. It is not added to a mailing list, because the site has no mailing list or newsletter signup. If a request leads to a change in an article, the article records the change itself, such as an updated date, and does not name the person who raised it.

Children

This publication is written for people who buy, run, and plan packaging equipment. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Since the site has no forms or accounts, nothing is collected through the pages themselves.

Your choices

You can browse without providing any personal information. If you have emailed us and want to know what we hold from that correspondence, ask through the Contact page. You can also tell us there if you want to correct or remove an email you sent, and we will handle the request as far as it concerns the messages we hold. For how correction requests are handled, see the Editorial Policy.

Privacy questions

For questions or requests about your information, use the Contact page. How commercial relationships, including any future referral links, would be disclosed is described on the Commercial Disclosures page.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, for example because the site adds a form, or embedded content, we will update this page. The statements above describe the site as it is at the time of writing.
